Twister’s 1st Annual Poster Contest
Have some Twister Fun Creating A Poster
Advertising the Torrington Twisters
Be Creative But Appropriate
Rules and Criteria

  • Poster board will be provided by the Torrington Twisters.  Please pick up after July 8th game.  I will be at the exit gate.
  • Please include the following information on the back of the poster:  fan’s name, age, telephone number, and email address.  Please print clearly.  No information on the front.
  • You can use any type of media such as paint, crayon, felt, pen, etc.  Poster themes must be original, correct in safety concept.  The Torrington Twister staff reserves the right to refuse any poster that does not meet criteria.
  • All posters must contain the following:  the words Torrington Twisters and the colors orange and black somewhere on the poster.  Other colors can be used also.
  • Criteria for the selection of award winning posters are relationship to the Twister theme and originality of the poster and how the advertising idea is expressed in the poster.
  • Winning posters will be selected by judges comprised of prominent local individuals.  We will have a poster parade on the field on July 27th at the top of the 2nd inning.
  • Please bring all completed artwork/posters to the July 27th game between 6:15 and 6:30.  Posters will be displayed during the July 27th game.  3 winners from each age group/categories will be chosen and announced during the July 27th game at the top of the 8th inning.
  • There will be two age group/categories:  9 and under and 10-14.
  • The 1st place winning poster for each age group will be used for artwork (black/white) and will be used as advertisement in the 2008 Twister Season program and will be framed and displayed at local businesses or public space.  The 1st place winner will also receive a Torrington Twister T-Shirt and a Torrington Twister Autographed ball.  The 2nd place winner will receive a Torrington Twister T-Shirt and a Torrington Twister Autographed ball; and the 3rd place winner will receive a Torrington Twister T-Shirt.
